Tommy Murphy was an inspiration to all of us who has been in Quincy's St. Patricks Day parade.

My buddy Jeff Dorsey knew him much better than I did but I do remember meeting him once during one of our St. Patricks day Parade's and I remember that great irish accent.  We talked for a while and I remember that he was a very nice man to talk to. Easy going and polite.

Tommy would come to Quincy around St. Patricks day sometimes to be on with our friends WGEM radio. In Ireland, Tommy was a very popular radio announcer. When it is time for the next St. Patricks Day parade in Quincy, Tommy will be in our thoughts.

Thank you, Tommy, for the inspiration. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
