The 27th Annual Gus Macker Basketball event will be held this Saturday and Sunday on the streets of Quincy with some 1600 players playing on some 400 teams.  The event is put on annually by the Quincy Exchange Club and also features a Special Olympics court area and on Sunday the always exciting Slam Dunk Contest at noon as well. The event culminates with championship games in all of the different brackets including the top men's bracket.

That championship game will be highlighted more than usual as it will be broadcast live on Y101 Radio with Bill Shuler calling the action from the street Sunday afternoon.  The exact time is not known as it depends on how long the previous games took to play on that court. It most likely will occur between 3 and 6 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
