Oh, internet, what shall we do with you? I'll admit that I was excited about the possibility that wooly mammoth remains were found in Missouri as there is evidence of their presence in the Show Me State a few thousand years ago. (not millions and don't get me started on that topic) The city of St. Joseph, Missouri has some woolly mammoth info, too. However, in this case, it's the good folks of Mississippi (the state and not just the river) who deserve the mammoth congratulations.
