The shops along Main Street in Hannibal will come to life this weekend as Living Windows makes its annual appearance this weekend.

As part of the continuing Victorian Festival of Christmas, downtown Historic Hannibal Merchants will stage people in the store windows, creating live, interactive Christmas scenes lining both sides of the street. Living Windows runs from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, December 8.

While strolling Main street and enjoying the holiday lights and Victorian vibe, you'll be able to visit the new Santa House and have a free picture with the Jolly Old Elf. Live carolers will stroll down the street to entertain shoppers, while the stores offer special deals and treats.

Starting Friday, December 7, Studio 57 will present 11 performances of "A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas." This is Charles Dickens with a futurist bent...think of a 3-D Steampunk/Victorian mash-up, with Dickens as a renowned trans-dimensional time traveler. For show times and tickets, call Bluff City Theater at 573-719-3226 or buy tickets online at eventshannibal.com.
