By the year 2028 it is hoped that there will be a new bridge up across the Mississippi River replacing the Quincy Memorial Bridge. The designers and engineers involved with the project have been working on the details for a while. What is not known is just where will the new bridge join Quincy.  For many the preferred location would have the bridge aligning with York Street instead of Maine where is currently is. That decision is not cast in stone…yet!  Quincy alderman are being asked to hire a consultant to consider all options.  The decision will certainly affect the Central Business District.

With all that said, where would you have the bridge come into Quincy?  Should it come in on Maine Street as it does now, or Broadway, or York or some other location? My vote is Broadway with an exit ramp for Maine Street and the Central Business District. What do you think?
