Ok, he we go again. Another hurricane hits the New Orleans area and once again here we are rescuing people who refused to get out when they were told to do so.

I have no sympathy for them anymore.

After Hurricane Katrina you would have thought they would have learned.  Back in 1993, we had a flood here in this area.  People listened to the authorities and began preparations to leave the area if the levies would break which of course they did. They knew the possibilities and the consequences of staying and they chose to leave.

Why is it we have to send rescue people in to risk their lives to get these people out of an area that was warned of Hurricane Isaac's pending arrival days ahead of time? They should at least be charged for the rescue services provided. How many hurricanes is it going to take before these people get it?

Thoughts?
