The Adams County Chapter of the American Red Cross will be a part of the recovery response team from the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac.

The local chapter is sending its Emergency Response Vehicle or ERV to Montgomery, Alabama in advance of the storm's approach. This particular unit will be used to deliver food, water and supplies to people who will be affected by the storm. As the storm moves northward, the Red Cross is preparing to provide shelter and food for the victims of Isaac.

Two Quincy area volunteers are making the trip to assist where they can. Hopefully, they won't be dealing with issues like they had with Hurricane Katrina which ironically struck New Orleans on the same day, August 29th,  in 2005.
