I have no idea how I happened to be on so many people's birthday list but thank you for all of the birthday wishes I have been receiving today.  Birthdays are fun and they make you reflect on things you have done in the past.  There are two things I have always wanted to do in my life and I am lucky to say that I have done them both.  Since I was a little kid I have always wanted to have my voice come out of that "box-thing" they called a transistor radio.  I have been fortunate enough to do that for over 41 years.  I loved it when I started and I still love it now (well, most of it).

The other thing I wanted to do as a kid was to play baseball for the New York Yankees. I never accomplished that one, although I did play ball for 23 years of my life.  I was fortunate enough to even get a double off of Rick Sutcliffe in an amateur league game. He got drafted that year as the #1 pick in Major League baseball.  It was that game that led to the Phillies, Mets, A's, and Reds giving me a look. Unfortunately, I was never drafted.

So I never had the chance to walk to home plate with a "Walk Up Song" playing like they do now. All Major League teams play music the players request as their own personal walk-up song.  This made me wonder, if I were to play in the Major Leagues today, what song would I choose?  It's a tough question with so many possibilities.

I have no idea what song would fit me. If I had to pick one, it would be The Who's  "Won't Get Fooled Again". That's my pick, so what song to you think fits me?  In lieu of a birthday gift to me, gift me with the name of the song you think should be my "walk up" song. I can't wait to read this list!
