What is Guy Fieri’s Favorite Missouri Dive? This One in St. Louis
Food celebrity Guy Fieri has visited so many diners, drive-ins and dives over the years, it's a pretty big deal when he selects a favorite. A new ranking claims to know what his Missouri go-to place is and it's a diner in St. Louis.
As we shared previously, Guy Fieri has (by our count) visited a grand total of 19 restaurants in Missouri over the years. Out of all of those, which is his favorite? A recent ranking this year by Mashed says it's The Shaved Duck in St. Louis.
Mashed says that when Guy Fieri visited The Shaved Duck on his TV show, "he tried the crispy-skinned smoked duck breast served with cherry juniper jam, and the host couldn't put it down".
If you've ever went to the big city and eaten at The Shaved Duck, you know their mantra is "BBQ, Folk & Soul". As the official Shaved Duck website says, they'll even show you their smokers if you ask nice enough. They even offer a vegan menu if that's your lifestyle choice.
I often wonder what Guy's choice would be if he visited a Missouri place that wasn't in St. Louis or Kansas City. Plenty of other Show Me State options that would likely interest him if he went beyond the metros. Oh, well. If you're gonna scarf in St. Louis, The Shaved Duck seems to be a nice option.
