Watch a Missouri Horse Named Bon Jovi Get Trained by a Skeleton
I realize this will be hard to explain, but I'll try. There's a new video of a horse who's name is Bon Jovi getting trained by a skeleton. Every word of that really is true.
This fun equestrian moment happened a few days ago in Oak Grove, Missouri. Here's the backstory from the owner so you know I'm not making this up:
Bon Jovi, a 9 year old AQHA/Morgan mare, in a round pen at a horse boarding facility in Oak Grove MO. I put a plastic skeleton on her back to get her desensitized to make her a safer horse to be around. The end result being her loping around the round pen with it flapping around on her back.
The only way this video gets better is if you listen to "Runaway" while you watch it.
I have spent a lot of my life around horses, but am far from an equestrian expert. I know that every horse has a unique personality and each responds to training in a different way. You can bet your bottom dollar that Bon Jovi (the horse) will no longer fear skeletons. As for the band Bon Jovi, I have no idea. I know Jon used to say that it was "a steel horse I ride" during the "Wanted Dead or Alive" days.
