VIDEO: Mysterious Creature Spotted on Illinois Forest Webcam

Stop me if you've heard me say this before, but something strange was just spotted in Illinois. A webcam in one of the forested areas of Illinois just captured video of an unidentified creature that the internet is having a hard time figuring out.

When I first saw this YouTube short, my initial take was that it was a raccoon and it might actually be that. The problem is raccoons normally have big tails and this creature doesn't.

Here's a closeup of the stubby end of this Illinois animal.

The giveaway for me is the feet. That is the foot of a raccoon. I'd swear it is. It's possible this big guy got into a tangle with a bobcat or another creature and lost the tail. All I know is this animal needs to go on a diet soon. In his/her/its defense though, probably a good idea to pack on the pounds prior to winter.
