Illinois Driver Sees Animals Fleeing a Mysterious Golden Orb

What started as a drive to pick up his daughter from work turned into a strange encounter with something that was causing wildlife to flee. A man in Illinois says a strange object seriously spooked animals in the nearby woods where he was driving.

This brand new report from the National UFO Reporting Center happened during the late night hours of November 11, 2025 near Bloomington, Illinois

He said that around 11:13pm the night of November 11, he was driving from Bloomington, Illinois to Danvers. What he saw happened in the forest area to his south. Here is a snippet of his exact words of what he saw:

"While out there I noticed a large number of deer and raccoons on the road running away from Mill Creek. There I saw a golden orb approximately 500ft above the woods moving in a rapid almost yo yo like circular motion."

He said that the object displayed some very odd characteristics saying "it did not emanate illumination downward which was also utterly bizarre. It seemed to...not actually illuminate anything ...the speed at which it spun was unreal, and was utterly silent". But, it was the response of the animals that convinced him this spinning golden orb was something otherworldly.

I have to wonder if the light might have been a spotlight from a nearby search helicopter, but he didn't see any beams from any planes or choppers and the animals did not behave like this was a typical light. It makes you wonder what the intention of this strange object was. It's yet another strange night sighting in Illinois that are becoming more and more common.
