US Marshals Capture Illinois Murder Suspect in Arkansas

The long arm of the law has caught up with a fugitive who is a suspect wanted for two counts of first-degree murder in Illinois. US Marshals tracked him down and found him hiding in Arkansas and he's now in custody.

There are few law enforcement agencies on Earth with a better track record at finding those who have fled from the law than the US Marshals. They just announced in a new press release that on July 30, 2026, they arrested Isaiah H. Houston who was wanted for two counts of first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm. He was captured by the US Marshals Eastern Arkansas Fugitive Task Force, with assistance from the Arkansas State Police, Little Rock Police Department and Arkansas Department of Corrections K-9 Team.

Houston was reportedly involved in an incident in Little Rock before he fled into a nearby wooded area. After a manhunt that lasted more than 4 hours, Isaiah H. Houston was captured.

“Violent offenders cannot escape accountability simply by crossing state lines,” said Cory Harris, Acting United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Arkansas. “Our task force will continue working tirelessly to locate and apprehend fugitives wanted for violent crimes.”

The US Marshals say Houston is now awaiting extradition back to Illinois to face justice for the charges against him.
