Because of your overwhelming response, the Hannibal History Museum has added a ton of more hours to its Merry Potter Celebration. This fundraiser will transform the museum into a magical wonderland to celebrate all things wizards. The original dates were Dec. 12 and 13, but now, with so many people indicating they'll go, the experience has been expanded from Dec. 5 through Dec. 20. The hours are from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Admission is $5.

According to the Hannibal History Museum Facebook Page, the added dates are to accommodate larger crowds expected and still practice social distancing.  "This is a fan event for a fundraiser. We will be following Hannibal's guidelines for safety. 10 people through at a time, Hand sanitizer stations, social distancing in place. We want to have a fun and safe time. No tickets required."

The Saturday, Dec. 5 opening date coincides with the Hannibal Jaycees Christmas Parade which steps off at 6 p.m. at the top of Broadway and follows the route past the History Museum on Main St.

On Saturday, Dec. 12 the Merry Potter experience coincides with Living Windows in Historic Downtown Hannibal. It’s a hugely popular event that draws hundreds of people downtown to see interactive displays in the windows of the stores. Living Windows happens on Dec. 12 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
