A fiery crash in Adams County sends two people to the hospital with serious injuries. Deputies rushed to the scene in Camp Point after two-vehicles collide around 8:20 p.m. Friday.

Deputies report a pickup driven by 33 year-old Robert Koontz of Camp Point crossed the center line of East Wood Street near Highway 24.  His vehicle collided with an oncoming car driven by 31 year-old April Maulding of Clayton.  The collision caused the Koontz pickup to roll and come to rest in a ditch.  The truck then caught on fire.

Deputies say both Koontz and Maulding sustained major injuries and were transported to Blessing Hospital.

Camp Point Fire, Central Adams Rescue, and Air Evac assisted deputies at the scene.
