I'm not trying to detract from what is definitely a nice honor for one Wisconsin place named one of the safest cities in America. But, I do find it ironic that it's situated next door to one of the most dangerous places also.

It's not exactly breaking news at this point that it was a very special weekend for the skies over Missouri. Many parts of the state had views of the stunning Northern Lights last Friday and also Saturday night. A new time-lapse video shows just how jaw-dropping the sky sights were.

It's one of the longest and most vital roadways in Wisconsin, but over the years it's gained a reputation not just as one of the most deadly roads in the state but also one of the most deadly in all of America.

One of Wisconsin's most beautiful places is also one of the most rattlesnake-infested.

I've been fortunate to have nothing but positive experiences at the hospitals I've received care from. Not everyone is so fortunate. The most fundamental thing a hospital should do for you is to keep you safe. In Wisconsin, only 9 hospitals were given a perfect A grade for patient safety.

Do you ever hear someone state a fact yet feel like what you've just heard is unbelievable? That's a perfect description of my reaction when I saw that there is a tiny Wisconsin town that is more dangerous than Milwaukee. It just doesn't sound possible, but there's data to back it up.

As you may be aware, there are many places in Wisconsin that aren't near anything and that's a good thing for most of us. However, one Wisconsin man who lives in a remote part of the state was terrified when he suddenly heard all the animals in the forest around him go silent with the exception of one creature he could not identify.

I don't believe in fear mongering and I don't think you should lose any sleep over a nuclear winter beginning tomorrow. However, it would be prudent to at least be aware that most of Wisconsin would be in a world of trouble if Vladimir Putin really does follow through on his latest threat.

It would be a great idea to keep your eyes on the skies over Wisconsin this weekend as the Northern Lights may be visible due to a major solar storm from a mammoth sunspot.
