Quincy High School's famed Q-City Pommers competed at the Illinois Drill Team Associations state competition on Saturday, March 16 at Assembly Hall on the University of Illinois campus in Champaign. They had qualified earlier at a regional competition in Highland, Illinois.

Quincy Senior High Schools famed Q-City Pommers are heading to state again. The squad, know for years now as top rate in the state, qualified Saturday,February 23 at regional competition held in Highland, Illinois.

I have never met Luke Guthrie but I feel like he's one of us simply by being from Quincy. This young man came from behind yesterday to win the Web.com Tour's WNB Golf Classic in Midland, Texas.  He was 5 shots back when play started yesterday and he made up the difference and then some after firing a 6 under par 66 in the final round.

Schools are open and colleges are back in session and the talk about the cost of education starts again. Let's face it, sending your kid to Illinois, Missouri, or Iowa is going to cost you a good chunk of change.

Tonight in St. Louis the Rams will be hosting the Baltimore Ravens in an NFL preseason football game. For most people it's just a preseason game, but for Jack Cornell it might be the biggest game of his life.
