See Inside a Missouri Plantation That’s Been Vacant for Decades

This is another example of me wishing that walls could talk. This plantation located in rural Missouri hasn't been occupied for years yet you can still practically feel the history this building has witnessed.

I am a big fan of explorers of abandoned places like this yet don't give out the exact location. What vandals can do to buildings with history like this is pathetic. That being said, you can see that the years have taken their toll on what used to be a gorgeous Missouri home. Check out this more or less silent walkthrough of what remains there.

The main plantation also has adjacent buildings like this one.

It looks like the inside of the main plantation building has been gutted by fire.

No accessing the upstairs plantation area as the stairs have been completely destroyed.

If you look closely, you can still see remnants of the probably 100-year-old wallpaper.

Based on the structure design, many comments on YouTube estimate this plantation was built between the 1830's and 1850's. You'd have to imagine this home would have been in its prime during the Civil War period especially considering its location in Missouri.

As it is now, the building is sadly beyond repair. With the right vision, would be interested if someone could rebuild this once-beautiful plantation into something that could also honor its history.
