The hits just keep coming. We have lost so many popular, fun, and money making events to the Tri-States this year from county fairs, to concerts, and craft shows. Well now we can add big fall events to the list too, as the 8th Annual Oktoberfest in Quincy has been canceled this year.

According to our friends at The Herald-Whig the Rotary Club of Quincy has postponed the event to 2021, on The Herald-Whig's website they say...

"The postponement is a result of restrictions tied to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic...."Like most events in the nation right now, we had to make the difficult decision to postpone our event until 2021," Rotary Club President Latonya Brock said. "We've been fortunate to raise enough funds in previous years that we'll be able to keep most of our commitments to the organizations and projects we support, and that's what is most important.""

Another day, another great Tri-State event not happening in 2020... This one really hurt, I absolutley loved going to Oktoberfest last year here in Quincy. To be able to hangout at the Dick Brothers Brewery drinking beers outside with beautiful fall weather, amazing food and plenty of room to dance to some German music, it was awesome. It certainly was an event I was looking forward to, but I guess I'll just have to buy some Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer and have my own mini version this year.
