The elections are coming up and it's important to get out and vote. And the Quincy YMCA is doing its part to help parents seeking childcare that day.

To make it easier for parents and childcare providers to go vote on November 6, the Quincy YMCA is offering free childcare on Election Day. I have taken my girls with me while voting before just so I could show them how important it is, but it did get pretty stressful after a while once they started talking. So if you want to avoid distributing other voters, the Quincy YMCA is going to help.

Pre-registration is preferred, but if you drop-in, they'll do their best to accommodate. The free childcare will be provided from 7 am - 7:30 pm, so you will have plenty of time to drop your kids off while the polls are open.

For more information on the child care for election day, contact the Quincy Family YMCA at 217-222-9622.
