Over the next few weeks the Quincy Family YMCA will hand out thousands of boxes of food to the Adams County Community.

Over 6,200 boxes of food have been given out through the Quincy YMCA and USDA Farmers to Families Food Box Program and more is coming. Though the month of March, the YMCA will be hosting a food drive-through pick up in their parking lot at 3101 Maine in Quincy. Pick up dates will take place every Thursday in March (March 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th).

Drive through pick up times will start at 4 pm and will continue while supplies last. In addition to the Quincy YMCA, there will be additional pick up locations including the Bethel AME Church (9th & Oak) and the Salvation Army Family Services Center (501 Broadway) in Quincy. Other Adams County locations include Mendon Congregational Church, Liberty Christian Church, and the Community Center for Christ Assistance Center in Camp Point.

So many families are in need of putting food on their table and this is just one way the Quincy YMCA is helping the community. Each food box will contain a gallon of milk, along with a variety of fresh, perishable food. You do not need to live in Adams County or show any identification when receiving a box.
