Quincy Preserves Announced Fall Home Tour
If you ever wanted to take a peek inside some of Quincy's most beautiful homes, but couldn't because, well, you don't live there and trespassing is illegal, then we have some good news for you.
The fall home tour is your opportunity to see some of the amazing homes in Quincy that you have always wanted to check out in person. Behind Closed Doors will take place on October 14th and will feature six homes in the Quincy Area.
According to the Facebook event, some styles of homes included in the fall tour are a "bungalow with neoclassical details, a modified Cape Cod, a vernacular two-thirds double pile house, the Colonel Edward Prince House, an American Foursquare Style house, and the Walter and Rose Heidbreder House".
I LOVE these houses and I cannot wait for the fall tour. There is so much history in all these houses and I am so excited to see them all. And remember, tickets for these types of events in Quincy go quickly, so don't wait!
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $12 at quincypreserves.com. You can also purchase your tickets at the following locations in Quincy:
- Arts Quincy (300 Civic Center Plaza)
- Kirlin's Hallmark (Quincy Mall)
- Emerald City Jewelers (3626 Broadway)
- Quincy History Museum (332 Maine)
- Adam Florist (522 S. 8th)
In Hannibal:
- Dempsey and Dempsey (716 Broadway)
- Java Jive (211 N. Main)
Tickets will also be available at each of the homes the day of the fall tour for $15.
I hope to one day live in a "tour worthy" house, but this'll do for now. A girl can dream, right?
