Quincy Senior High School has proudly announced that two students have earned National Merit Scholarship Finalist status. Both Thatcher Crist and Kylie Peter have received the prestigious honor.  Thatcher and Kylie, two talented high school seniors, finished in the top 5% nationally on the PSAT and SAT. According to the National Merit Scholarship program, they have qualified for one of the 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million that will be offered next spring.

The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test which serves as an initial screen of approximately 1.6 million entrants each year and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements as well.

Congratulations to both outstanding Quincy Senior High School students and good luck!
