Caitlyn Smith,Community Outreach Liaison with the Illinois Generals office will present the latest information on identifying and preventing identity theft. It seems like it is almost out of control with many newscasts reporting more and more of this. Identity theft happens when personal information is stolen and used without permission, wreaking the victim's finances, credit history and reputation.

Each presentation will be geared to individual lifestyles. There will be a question and answer session, as well. There is no charge for either of the identity theft work shops but reservations are requested. Call the Quincy Public Library at 223-1309 for more information or go online at quincylibrary.org.
