A local heating and cooling company is doing its part to raise money to support the fight against cancer.

On Monday, August 3, Peters Heating and Air Conditioning in Hannibal unveiled a new pink service van. Peters is partnering with the James E. Cary Cancer Center, along with KHQA-TV and KICK-FM for the "Pink Van Project."

What this means is that, every time the Peters' Pink Van goes on a service call, a portion of the proceeds from the call goes to the local cancer center.

Peters also has a pink van in Quincy, with those proceeds benefiting the Blessing Breast Center at Blessing Hospital.

This comes on the 50th anniversary of Peters Heating in Quincy. They have grown to seven locations in Missouri and Illinois.

For more information on the Hannibal Pink Van Project, call Peters at 573-221-4631 or visit Peters Heating and Air online.
