
Not Guilty Plea in Stabbing Along I-72
Not guilty is the plea of a man accused of stabbing his half-brother to death in Pike County, Illinois. The incident occurred last summer along I-72 just east of Hannibal. Joseph Coffman of Ft. McDowell, Arizona is charged with first-degree murder in the July 19, 2014 incident.
Coffman is accused of stabbing and killing his half-brother, 47-year-old Dennis Coffman as they were driving on I- 72 near the Hull exit.
Coffman's jury trial is scheduled to begin October 5 at 10 a.m. A pre-trial hearing scheduled Sept. 23.
