No More Dogs Behind the Wheel Soon in Illinois

The days of fido sitting in the lap of a driver in the State of Illinois may be coming to an end. There is a proposed bill in Illinois that would make it illegal for pets to be in the lap of a driver of a moving vehicle.

This is a bill that is long overdue. I have never understood why anyone would want their pet climbing all over them to get a chance to poke their nose out of the driver's side window. It is definitely a safety hazard for the driver and their passengers as well as other motorists around that driver.

This falls under the common sense category so I will be interested in seeing the names of the state legislators who vote against this bill if and when it comes up for a vote in Springfield.
