This is outstanding. I've waited for years for the moment when New Madrid, Missouri would become the movie star I knew it was capable of being and that moment has arrived. There's a new disaster movie starring this earthquake-prone Missouri town and you can watch it for the cost of nothing.

I knew as soon as I saw the title and synopsis appear on my television that we were watching it. The movie is called "Continental Split" and it's a free flick on Tubi. The plot on IMDb says "When a fault threatens to split the U.S., a desperate team of seismologists and government agents race to prevent disaster as the clock ticks down."

Want to see Jefferson City, Missouri crumble? You got it.

Ever wondered what would happen to St. Louis during a 10.0 earthquake? Put a check in that box.

I don't want to spoil the end (because it's special), but what the seismologist does to try and stop the "continental split" is Oscar-worthy. Or, maybe it's not. Still, it's a disaster movie starring almost all of Missouri and you can watch it for free. That's something worth passing along in my book.
