New Leadership Coming To Quincy’s Salvation Army
With the retirement announced from Majors Andy & Cheryl Miller from Quincy's Salvation Army, the hunt was on to find a replacement to take over. Today the announcement came and the new Captains will be amazing.
Through a press release, the Quincy Salvation Army announced Captains Kristina and Michael Sjogren will take over July 1st as the new leadership for the Salvation Army. The Sjogren's have been officers with the Army since 2009, and have done leadership at Cedar Rapids, IA as Corps in the Heartland Division. From 2013-2017 the couple served on staff at the Metropolitan Division in Chicago in the ministry of Youth and Young Adults.
The Sjogren's are very excited to come to the Quincy community and are looking forward to do great things in and for Quincy. The Sjogrens have two daughters, Rachael, (21) and Eden (19) who are both attending Olivet Nazarene University.
The Captains plan to visit in early June which will allow Majors Andy and Cheryl the opportunity to introduce the new Quincy officers to the area, board members, and staff. Their first official day as Quincy leadership will be July 1.
