See a Dozen Wicked Cool Retro Missouri License Plates

If you find yourself daydreaming about what life was like in Missouri 40 or 50 years ago, I unfortunately can't make a time machine to take you back to that time. However, I can show you a dozen very cool license plates that date as far back as the 1940's.

This began as a quest of curiosity as I started looking for retro Missouri license plates on eBay. I've limited myself to just 12 to show you some of the best of what used to be on the back of our Missouri vehicles back in the day. I've included direct links to each eBay listing for each of these plates as an added bonus. Let's start with the oldest I found in 1942 and work our way forward.

I think I like the 1976 American bicentennial year the best of this bunch, but that's probably just because I was still a child then and somewhat innocent. That's another story for another day.
