One of the most prestigious rankings has just included two Missouri cities among their 40 best places to retire in America list.

US News and World Report has just shared the newly updated Best Places to Retire in America list and you'll find two places in the greater St. Louis region in their ranking. Their methodology says they "evaluated 859 cities across the country, weighing key consumer factors like housing affordability, state tax burdens, resident happiness and access to top-notch health care". The result is two Missouri cities in their top 40:

#32 St Charles, Missouri

I don't like saying "I told you so", but "I told you so". The greater St. Louis area includes some of the best quality of life towns you'll find in America. The crime rate in some pockets of the St. Louis area give the region a bad name, but they're isolated for the most part. I have spent many days of my life going to baseball games or the zoo in St. Louis and have never felt any level of danger. I also have many friends and family who call that region home and they're all happy with their lives. St. Charles and O'Fallon making this new US News & World Report best places to retire list just hammers that home.
