Missouri’s Best Pancake Spot Once Hosted a US President

Here's an odd, but interesting combination for you. The Missouri breakfast spot that's just been named the best pancake plate in the state also once played host to a sitting United States President.

Does this breakfast place in the Kansas City area look familiar to you?

According to a brand new ranking by Cheapism, this is Eggtc in Kansas City, the maker of the best pancake in the state of Missouri. Yes, they were chosen because of their highly-rated pancake creations, but it was on their "news and noteworthy" page that I noticed some history. In 2008, Eggtc was the host of George W. Bush who was the United States President at that time. I wish I could find some video of that moment.

I find this funny and interesting for several reasons. First, my wife found out when she was doing our family's genealogy that we are distant cousins of the Bush family which explains why he was notoriously goofy sometimes (no disrespect intended, Mr. President). The picture that Eggtc shared of President Bush stopping by their place in 2008 showed him holding a baby. I bet that was a riot.

Back to the pancakes, Eggtc has been around nearly two decades from what I can gather from their site. I hear their breakfast is amazing and I'm thrilled their pancakes got some nice national praise.
