Missouri & Illinois Parents, Gerber Has a Recall on Baby Formula
This is one of those fortunate circumstances where there is no illness connected to a problem with a product. However, it's due to an abundance of caution that has caused Gerber to recall one of their baby formula lines due to a concern about a strain of bacteria that will require Missouri and Illinois parents to check their shelves.
The Food and Drug Administration issued an alert stating that Perrigo, the makers of Gerber baby products, is recalling this specific line of baby formula. It's because of the possibility of contamination with the bacteria called Cronobacter sakazakii.
This is what the product looks like as shared by Gerber on their YouTube channel.

They mention that the bacteria that's responsible for the possible contamination does not normally cause a serious health risk for children or adults, but can be especially dangerous and cause serious health problems for babies born prematurely or those with weakened immune systems.
Again, there are no cases of illness reported as of this time and no confirmation that any contaminated formula was actually delivered. They are recalling just to be safe.
