St. Louis Grocer Pulls Mashed Potatoes Due to Allergy Danger

I didn't know that mashed potatoes could be dangerous, but that's apparently the case as a St. Louis, Missouri grocery store chain has announced they've pulled them due to a potential allergy danger.

I saw the Food and Drug Administration share a bulletin today announcing that Dierbergs in St. Louis, Missouri had issued a recall of their homestyle mashed potatoes. The reason given is that a certain batch contain undeclared wheat which isn't a big deal for many people, but it certainly is if you happen to have an allergy to it.

The FDA bulletin says Dierbergs has pulled this product off the shelves, but if you find you have it, you can return it unopened for a full refund.
