Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bars Recalled in Missouri & Illinois
I have to confess that I don't get alarmed when salad gets recalled since that's not a part of my routine. However, I do get upset when I hear that chocolate chip cookie products have an issue and that just happened to a national brand distributed in both Missouri and Illinois.
The Food and Drug Administration just issued a bulletin about a recall of NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough “break and bake” bars because they may contain wood in them. This is what the product packaging looks like.
Here are the batch numbers shared by the FDA that you should watch out for:
311457531K and 311557534K
Corresponding Best By Dates:
8/22/23 and 10/23/23
This is the place to look for numbers and expiration dates.
The good news is this recall does not seem to be connected with any illnesses or injuries as of this writing. The FDA alert just says it's being done out of "an abundance of caution".
