Missouri Food Service Company Suddenly Lays Off More than 100

The state of Missouri has just received another notice that a company is laying off many of their workers. It's a company that offers food service that suddenly appears to be releasing more than 100 workers.

I just saw this WARN notice shared on the state of Missouri jobs site which reveals that Gate Gourmet in St. Louis is laying off 102 effective January 15, 2025. The address for the company is 8725 Scudder Road in Berkeley, Missouri. Their corporate Gate Gourmet site says they are a food service catering company for the aviation industry which makes me wonder if this is a result of the recent mass layoff by Boeing in the St. Louis, Missouri area and other markets across the country.

As of the date of this writing, there have been no statements I've seen from Gate Gourmet about the nature of these layoffs, but it would make sense if the industry that they serve is cutting back that it would impact their work also.
