This is without a doubt the worst time of year to learn that you're about to be unemployed. That's exactly what just happened in Missouri as 692 just found out that they will be without a job when January 2025 rolls around.

The state of Missouri's jobs website has just issued a bulletin about a WARN notice that's been filed by Boeing in Missouri. It states that 692 of their employees are being laid off effective January 7, 2025. It states that the layoffs will affect these locations:

  • Berkeley
  • Hazelwood\
  • Kansas City
  • Kingsville
  • Maryland Heights
  • O'Fallon
  • St. Charles
  • St. Louis (city)
  • St. Ann

This Boeing mass layoff has reportedly happened at other locations across the country and not just in Missouri.

As this is a developing story, it will be updated once Boeing issues a statement about why this mass layoff has occurred in Missouri.
