Applebee’s Closing Restaurants Including 1 in Missouri

Bad news for Applebee's lovers as the chain has announced it will close multiple restaurants and Missouri is included in that list.

According to Yahoo Finance, Applebee's is restructuring their company. That sadly means some of their restaurants will be closing their doors forever and there is a Missouri location on their list.

This is the Applebee's located at 2010 Interstate 70 Dr SW in Columbia, Missouri. Yahoo Finance says this Applebee's will be closing along with 2 restaurants in Evansville, Indiana and another in Glenville, New York. The Columbia restaurants site shows that it is apparently still open as of the time of this writing. The Applebee's locator shows that there are restaurants in 38 Missouri cities, but that will reportedly have 1 subtracted imminently.

Let's hope these new Applebee's closures are an isolated event and not the first of a wave of restaurant closures in 2026. We saw too many eateries close their doors last year.
