The words of caution regarding drinking and driving have been uttered by the Quinsippi Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) all year long, but especially for New Year's Eve.

That declaration once again has been made in hopes of savings lives as M.A.D.D. wishes to remind the public the their Project Red Ribbon continues until January 1, 2020. Ribbons, not only for New Year's but for all year are still available to tie onto your autos as a visual reminder to you and everyone not drink and drive.

More importantly M.A.D.D. wants to remind the public to have a happy and safe New Year’s celebration. If you have been drinking you should not be driving.  In M.A.D.D.'s words, "Celebrate the New Year with bang but not with a crash.  Spending New Year’s Day in jail, in the hospital, or in the funeral home is not a good way to start 2020. Resolve to always drive sober in the New Year."

Make the "happy" part of Happy New Year be just that. Please don't drink and drive. Call for a ride.
