Semi Obliterated by Train in Illinois — Watch the Video

It's a miracle that no one was injured. Video captured by a passerby on their cell phone shows the moment that a semi-tractor trailer was clobbered by a train at a crossing in Illinois.

According to the video description shared by Ian’s Siren and Train Productions on YouTube, this train/truck collision happened in LaGrange, Illinois on Friday, June 13, 2025. The semi cannot clear the tracks before the train comes barreling in.

According to a report by CBS News in Chicago, the tracks and pedestrian areas where this collision happened were closed for hours, but are now open again. Their video description says that no one in the truck, the train or any bystanders were injured in the incident. I've never driven a vehicle as large as that semi, but I can only imagine how challenging it would be to try and navigate crossings like the one in LaGrange, Illinois. No doubt this is an accident that will be investigated by authorities to try and figure out why the truck ended up in the path of that train like it did.
