I think most of us that live in our part of the Midwest suspected this if we didn't know it already, but now science has declared that Missouri is one of the most dangerous states for deer collisions.

This could have and probably should have been tragic. A suspected impaired driver ran into a truck and it almost immediately explodes, but all miraculously survive. This entire incident was captured by a traffic camera.

Thanks to doorbell cameras, we're seeing more strange encounters than ever before. That includes a wild scene that was recorded by a Midwestern doorbell cam recently as it witnessed a head-on collision and eventually a shootout.

Do you believe Quincy deserves roundabouts? There's a movement that does and I have found the website that proves it.

My dad always taught me when roads are slick, assume oncoming traffic may come right at you. That has saved me more than once. A Midwestern mom showed quick thinking in a similar situation that likely saved her family's lives and that of the other driver, too.

What did I just see? If my eyes aren't deceiving me, it's a dashcam video showing a semi-truck dragging a half-impaled car down an Illinois interstate. Remarkably, the driver seems to be quite happy about it.

I realize it may be awkward to try and talk to a street intersection, but awkward has never stopped me in the past and isn't about to stop me now. I have some thoughts for 36th and Broadway in Quincy.

Why not develop a system where once the light goes from green to yellow to red that the other lanes remain red for a five second time period?
