As the school year rolls on the need for additional masks for schools in Adams County rolls on with it. Therefore, the Quincy Noon Kiwanis, Quincy Golden K Kiwanis, and Gem City Breakfast Kiwanis have partnered with Quincy Sewessentials and other seamstresses to re-stock the county schools with masks.

On Saturday, Oct. 24, the “Kiwanis Mask-Up” project will be launched. The community is invited to help Kiwanis members cut, sew, and package masks between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. that day at the Quincy Mall Community Room.

The motto of Kiwanis is to “help the children of the world” and the members of Kiwanis are doing just that. As the pandemic continues, the need for masks will continue. Masks need to be laundered and changed out as they tend to wear out, and not everyone can afford to purchase several masks
