Beloved Missouri Restaurant Shuts Down Overnight
Sure didn't see this coming. Another Missouri restaurant has locked its doors forever and shut down overnight with little to no warning and there's confirmation that it's not opening again.
The closure of a Missouri restaurant overnight is actually connected to an Illinois food place that closed its doors only a week or so ago. Nation's Restaurants News is reporting that Darden which is the parent company of Olive Garden and Longhorn Steakhouse has now decided it will close 2 more restaurants and one is located in Missouri.
Seasons 52 located at 340 Ward Pkwy in Kansas City, Missouri is now closed and will not be reopening. If you go to the Kansas City, Missouri location on the Seasons 52 website, it redirects you to the generic locations part of the site and now includes no Missouri restaurants. There are, however, 2 locations of Seasons 52 in Illinois that remain open.
Why did Seasons 52 in Kansas City suddenly close?
“These decisions were also made as part of our continuous evaluation of our restaurants’ performance, and, unfortunately, sometimes we have to close a location,” was the reason given by the spokesperson quoted by Nation's Restaurant News. The report went on to say that the company made every effort to offer Kansas City, Missouri restaurant workers the opportunity to work at other company restaurants. The other employees were provided a severance.
