It continues to be a rough go in the brick and mortar retail world as Big Lots has announced plans to close at least 40 locations in the next 12 months. The question is how many Missouri stores will be a part of that plan?

The reveal by Big Lots to close stores came in a filing with the United States government this week. In the document filed, they share financial numbers including a very dire mention that due to credit issues, they may find it hard for the brand to continue at all.

Their plans to get their business headed the right direction back to profit includes closing at least 40 Big Lots stores in the next 12 months. The question is how many of these remaining Missouri locations will be affected. Big Lots corporate site shows 21 Missouri places.

While the document details plans to close stores, it does not specify which ones at this time. As this is a developing story, it will be updated once new information is provided.
