According to WalletHub's ranking of the Best Places for Summer Jobs 2024, St. Louis, Missouri is the best city in Missouri for a summer job and the 15th best city in the entire US for a summer job. St. Louis ranks considerably higher than cities like Kansas City which is 50th on the list, Chicago which ranks 151st on the list, and even Nashville which is 88th on the list.

But you also have all of the other tourist attractions like the St. Louis Zoo, The Muny Theatre, Union Station, and more. St. Louis comes alive during the summer and so it makes sense they would need to hire a lot of people for jobs to do during the summer.
