Experts rank a city in Missouri as one of the best cities in the US for Summer Jobs, which city is it?

According to WalletHub's ranking of the Best Places for Summer Jobs 2024, St. Louis, Missouri is the best city in Missouri for a summer job and the 15th best city in the entire US for a summer job. St. Louis ranks considerably higher than cities like Kansas City which is 50th on the list, Chicago which ranks 151st on the list, and even Nashville which is 88th on the list.

How did they determine these rankings? In the ranking, they say "WalletHub compared the relative strength of more than 180 markets in the U.S. across 21 key indicators of employment outlook, affordability and downtime-friendliness. Our data set ranges from the median income of part-time workers to the availability of summer jobs to the commuter-friendliness of jobs." Which cities are the best for summer jobs? Baseball...That is the main answer. The amount of seasonal jobs that the St. Louis Cardinals bring to the city of St. Louis is the main answer to why STL is so high on this list. But you also have all of the other tourist attractions like the St. Louis Zoo, The Muny Theatre, Union Station, and more. St. Louis comes alive during the summer and so it makes sense they would need to hire a lot of people for jobs to do during the summer.
