While Missouri didn't crack the top 25, it still earned a respectable No. 31 ranking overall. You may be thinking the Show-Me State deserves to rank even higher, and I'd have to agree. However, this study based its rankings on several key factors, including:

Missouri's highest-ranking category was Opportunity, where it placed an impressive No. 8 in the nation.

I'll be honest, when I first moved to Missouri, I didn't even know the state existed (I was young!). After spending most of my life in Missouri and then moving to Illinois after college, I can genuinely say I think Missouri is the better state.
