A person may not operate a motor vehicle on a roadway while using an electronic device.

This is according to the Illinois General Assembly. Why then are people doing this? I keep seeing people with their phones stuck to their ear, on the phone all the time. I must be missing something here. And just for the record, I have done this before, but I try to find a place to stop out of the way of traffic.

And it keeps growing every day, it seems. Do I complain to somebody, or should I just go on my way like nothing has happened? If this is a law in Illinois and people are not doing the right thing, what can the common man do to point this out to drivers and or the police? No, they cannot go after every person who does not put their phone down while driving. Just hope you do not get into an accident while you are on the streets of Illinois and some one hits you while you are texting and driving.
