Illinois State Police to Strictly Enforce Speeding, DUI This Weekend

The Illinois State Police mean what they say. They will be everywhere this weekend.

Extra patrols and roadside safety checks will be the number one priorities this Memorial Day Weekend. The American Automobile Association estimates that there will be 33 million motorists traveling on the roads over the extended weekend. We still see motorists texting and driving right in front of our faces, not having a clue what could happen to them. And sorry to say that trend will continue. One driving fatality is one too many.

Slow down, drive the speed limit and pass only when it is safe to do so. It is not that hard, just stay focused on the task at hand. Buckle up and don't be a statistic. It is the law and it may safe your life this weekend.
