According to the website popularmechanics.com, the best thrill ride/rollercoaster in the state of Illinois is called Goliath at Six Flags Great America in suburban Chicagoland. What makes it so thrilling? In the ranking on the website they say...

"The drop of Goliath at Six Flags Great America runs 180 feet and continues underground. The 72 miles per hour reached on this wooden coaster creates plenty of speed, along with an inverted zero-G stall, banked turns, and a tunnel that keeps what was once a world-record-holding wooden roller coaster still in the game."

For our listeners on the other side of the Mississippi River, they do mention in the article that the number one thrill ride/rollercoaster in Missouri is called TIme Traveler at Silver Dollar City in Branson.

I found this YouTube video from 2019 taking you around Goliath at Six Flags Great America and it looks terrific!

I will say I grew up in Chicagoland and went to Six Flags Great America as a kid and was always too scared to ride Goliath but now as an adult after watching that video I need to take a trip back up there ASAP to give it a try!
