$100K Reward Offered for Info on Illinois Post Office Robber
How would you love a big payday for helping federal authorities catch the person who robbed a tiny Illinois post office? There's $100,000 up for grabs for information that brings that suspect to justice.
The United States Postal Inspection Service this post office located at 522 Front Street in Grand Tower, Illinois was robbed on December 18, 2025
The US Postal Inspection Service has just issued a bulletin with the following details:
"The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) responsible for the burglary of the Grand Tower Post Office located at 522 Front St, Grand Tower, IL 62942, on December 18, 2025."
If you're not familiar with where Grand Tower, Illinois is, it's a tiny river town in the extreme southwestern part of the state not that far north from Cape Girardeau on the other side of the Mississippi River. The postal inspection service doesn't mention exactly what was taken in this robbery, but the $100,000 reward must mean it's significant. Messing with the mail in any way is a federal crime so perhaps that's why the reward (and likely punishment for the culprit) is so major. If you know of someone who's been bragging about what they robbed from a post office, might want to contact the US Postal Inspection Service. $100,000 in your bank would be a nice way to start 2026.
